Done Timely, Issue #006 An Irish blessing November 14, 2023 |
HelloAn Irish blessingSince mid of July I had been ill and couldn’t work for two months. Now I am recovering steadily. During this time I had more time to think about my current situation and my life. I had to accept, that my priorities I had defined in the first half of this year were the proverbial rocks from the pickle jar allegory (rock-pebble-sand), that crumbled to dust not even sand. Nothing real dramatic happened. I still have my job, my team perfectly managed my absence, I now start to improve my website and content about time management. Because I couldn’t do much I read a lot. In one book I found the following Irish blessing, that gave me some power. It can be seen as a list of tasks you probably can put on top of your to do list, just to remind you, that your overall performance needs all the single blessings not just the first one. Let the words take effect in your mind: Take time for work; it the price for your success. So, take time to consider all the blessings; it is the beginning of a prosperous time management. Care for your time |
